Meet The Staff

Kelsey – Hygienist

Kelsey is one of our caring dental hygienists! She has been practicing for ten years and has completed her bachelor degree in dental hygiene during that time. She specializes in gentle dental care and making her patients feel comfortable. Nothing makes her happier than making patients feel confident with their smiles. When she is not at the office, Kelsey enjoys being with her husband and puppy Baxter. Her favorite things to do are bake and play racquet sports. 

Mia – Dental Assistant

Mia is a vibrant dental assistant from Lake Mary, Florida. She brings a warm and friendly energy to every interaction, making her a joy to be around. Whether she’s exploring the natural beauty of her hometown or venturing to Walt Disney world, Mia’s enthusiasm and curiosity shines through. Her ability to connect with others and her genuine interest in educating our patients make her a valued part of the Wekiva Dental team!

Shawna – Lead Dental Assistant

Shawna joined the Wekiva Dental team in 2021. Putting patients at ease during treatment is her main goal in the dental office.  Outside of the office, she spends her time with her 2 daughters and husband. She enjoys tending to her chickens and baking.

Thaís – Hygienist

Thaís was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Rio de Janeiro State University, in 1996. She worked as a military dentist until retiring, as a Major, in 2018.  Her passion for preventive dental care drove her to continue in the field, as a Certified Registered Dental Hygienist, after moving to Florida. In her spare time, she likes listening to music, reading and spending time with her family.
